Ovation is a pioneer in special materials and has many enthusiastic fans. Despite being made from special materials, it is characterized by a dynamic sound that captivates not only performers but also audiences.
The Pro Series Ultra 1516 is a completely new series designed for singer-songwriters, delivering the perfect sound and playability for stroke playing, allowing you to perform at your best on the live stage.
The body top is made of A-grade solid German spruce with a torified (heat-treated) finish. X-bracing, tailored to the instrument’s sound concept, efficiently vibrates the top, ensuring ample volume. The round holes in the body top produce a direct, dynamic sound. The fingerboard and bridge are made of hard Indian laurel, ensuring durability and a responsive sound.
The newly designed K-21CT preamp features two-band tone controls, covering a wide frequency range. The user-friendly control layout allows for intuitive operation on stage. The pickups are the OCP-2000, a compact version of the OCP-1, which has shaped the Ovation sound for many years. The bridge saddle and piezo pickup layout have been improved to create a more defined sound character.
