An iconic SG and possibly the most important guitar in the genre of Heavy Metal. Why is it that important? Because the guitar literally invented Heavy Metal. This is the Epiphone Tony Iommi SG Special, the Epiphone-built version of the guitar that started it all for the Black Sabbath guitarist. Modeled after his heavily modified 1964 SG, this guitar features a two-piece mahogany body with a bound one-piece mahogany neck, a bound Indian laurel fretboard, Grover Rotomatic tuners and two chrome-covered Epiphone PRO P-90 pickups. The electronics on this one are top-notch, wired up with CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors in the control cavity. A static cling reproduction of Iommi’s original Monkey sticker is included in the hardshell case, and of course – a left-handed version of the Epiphone Tony Iommi SG Special is available as well. This item is in overall excellent/near mint condition with no significant cosmetic or playing issues, however it no longer carries a manufacturer warranty.
Includes: Epiphone Hardshell Case, Monkey Sticker, Paperwork
