We’ve got a highly recommended pre-owned 2002 1968 Les Paul Custom Authentic in CA (Custom Authentic) finish! Its jet-black ebony finish and chrome accents evoke the rock spirit of the guitar.

The Les Paul Custom, the guitar of choice for men!
Standard isn’t good enough! It has to be custom! The Les Paul Custom is a model so beloved that even the most enthusiastic custom fans can be heard saying, “I can’t get it!”

Although production of the Les Paul Custom ceased around 1960, it regained popularity in the late 1960s when it was seen in the hands of top musicians. Production finally resumed in 1968, along with the Standard. While retaining the design from 1960, the body construction was revised, adopting a plain maple top and mahogany back, and changing from the three humbuckers prevalent in the 1950s to a two-humbucker configuration. The result was simple operability and a sound character with a very distinct, edgy character even when distorted, which is now known as the signature tone of the Les Paul Custom.

The shiny fretboard with block inlays features ebony and a one-piece mahogany neck wood. The now-rare ebony fretboard produces a sharper, tighter sound than a standard LP, and even when the gain is increased, it produces a masculine tone with good projection, without sounding too crushed, as is typical of HM/HR guitars! It’s also popular with those who enjoy hard-edged distortion!

We’ve got a highly recommended pre-owned 2002 Les Paul Custom Authentic! It features the CA (Custom Authentic) finish, a matte, cloudy finish that’s considered a precursor to the VOS finish. The Les Paul Custom’s most popular color is a jet-black ebony finish, and the parts have been given a matte aging finish. Another highlight is that while “Customs” typically feature gold hardware, this model features chrome hardware!

The Burst Bucker 2 and 3 pickups were selected for this guitar! As an aside, the Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard also featured Burst Bucker 2 and 3 pickups! The following year, in 2003, the Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard had a minor change to Burst Bucker 1 and 2 pickups!

The overall condition shows small scratches and dents, scratches on the buckle, dull paint, scratches on the pickguard from playing, and dull parts, but none of these will affect or affect playability.
We have fully maintained and cleaned this product, so it is ready to use right away.
There is some unevenness in the binding on the entire neck and wood due to shrinkage over time, but this does not affect playability. This is common in older Gibson guitars, although there may be some variation. The selector knob has been replaced.

The frets have been filed and are ready to use. Approximately 80% of the frets remain. The nut has also been adjusted. There are no issues with using it as is. The truss rod can also be adjusted normally.

The electrical system has been fully checked and there are no problems with operation.
It weighs approximately 4.56 kg, and is balanced to produce a solid sound.

Accessories include the original black hard case and key.
The certificate is out of stock.
