This highly popular model is packed with Momose-exclusive features, including a heel cut with a recessed joint plate, wood binding, and an original headstock. This is the “MC1-STD/R” with an alder body and rosewood fingerboard. This is the power of “Made in Japan”!
Momose Original Series MC
The original model “MC” inherits the traditional ST style but has been uniquely brushed up by Momose.
Each piece was handcrafted by artisans at the Asuka factory, from woodworking to painting and assembly.
The high playability resulting from its careful construction has been praised by many top players, embodying the undeniable quality of the Momose brand.
The wide horn section enhances playability in the high positions
Compared to the traditional ST type, the MC model has a larger recess in the horn section on the treble string side.
This not only improves playability in higher positions, but also allows players with large hands to play up to the higher frets without stress.
Recessed processing of joint plateWhile using an orthodox plate joint to avoid compromising the traditional sound characteristics, the plate part is recessed to also improve playability.
Wood binding to prevent fingerboard problemsThe sides of the fingerboard are bound with wood made from the same material as the fingerboard.
This not only makes the sides of the fingerboard very smooth, but also prevents problems such as fret burrs from popping out.
Wide rod adjustment The uniquely shaped headstock features a wide adjustment hole that allows for smooth neck adjustment.
The shape is also wider to make adjustments easier.
