The result: the PRS S2 Vela, here finished in Antique White Satin. The Vela is perfect for guitars that want the build quality and reliability of PRS, but with a fresh new look. PRS describes the Vela as elegant and daring, and we certainly agree. In the bridge position we find a lively Starla humbucker, which can also be switched to single coil. In the neck position we find a Type-D single-coil. This not only looks quirky, but also produces a unique sound. The bridge of this PRS Vela also stands out. They are actually two large saddles, each carrying three strings. The sound of this bridge is nice and biting and incredibly resonant, so that the Vela will not only stand out visually, but also sonically.
