MADE IN JAPAN
This is the pinnacle of the new Revstar series, crafted by skilled Japanese craftsmen. It features an IRA-treated body and an aluminum back panel, and is a model that has been painstakingly crafted down to the smallest details.
The chamber is based on Yamaha’s acoustic analysis process, “Acoustic Design,” to achieve a rich resonance and a lightweight body. Furthermore, carbon fiber is inserted into the body and neck to eliminate excess low frequencies, resulting in a clear, full-bodied sound.
– 5-position selector Positions 2 and 4 on the selector give you a sound similar to the half-tone of a normal 3-single-coil guitar without reducing the volume.
The tone knob switch is a Yamaha original focus switch, which has the effect of increasing the number of pickup windings, allowing for aggressive tone changes that emphasize the mid-low range.
The lineup includes the RSP20 and RSP20X with humbuckers, and the RSP02T with a P-90 type single coil. Both feature Yamaha-developed pickups and Alnico V magnets for a powerful tone.
IRA (Initial Response Acceleration)
IRA is a technology that applies appropriate vibrations to a completed instrument to eliminate stresses between wood or between wood and paint. Players know how important “playing” is to a guitar. It’s said that playing a guitar improves its resonance. This is because the stresses that occur between wood elements such as the neck and fingerboard, between wood and paint, and between wood and hardware become harmonious and resonate as a single unit. IRA (Initial Response Acceleration) is a technology that applies vibrations specific to each guitar to a completed instrument to eliminate stresses between the paint and wood. This process brings the guitar closer to its well-played state, bringing out the ideal body resonance.
Two cafe racer-inspired color finishes. Chambered maple and mahogany body. Carbon fiber inserts (neck and body).
– Yamaha’s proprietary VH5 humbucker – 5-position selector – Focus switch (push/pull tone knob)
In terms of the condition of the guitar, there are some small scratches, some dullness on the parts, and some scratches on the back of the body, but nothing deep that would detract from the aesthetics. The frets are still about 80% tall, and there are no problems with the neck or the electrical system, so this is a guitar that you can enjoy for many years to come.
